I have always loved photography actually, any type of art. I used to be a fine arts student but, life happened. That is besides the point. Let me get back on track. I have loved photography.
However, It is not the reason why I am buying a camera, well not the only reason. I started filming my YouTube video with my phone. I liked the clarity better than the webcam. I had no stand and no support structure of any kind. I would stick my phone on the window sill with masking tap and hope that I am in frame and most importantly in focus. I would shoot blind countless number of times just to realize my shot was upside down or I had cut off my head or I was just shooting my neck. I needed a camera badly. A camera with a tripod to be more specific
My journey for a camera took me to Ibrahim’s Electronics (on Kimathi Street) where I was looking for a Sony digital camera. It retailed for about 8,000(KES) It was ok. It had great specs and really was a great choice for a start up YouTuber like myself. However, I did not want to spend that money when I could save up and buy a dslr. Therefore, I started researching for dslr cameras best for YouTube and the Canon T5i came up. It retailed for about 60,000(KES) and that was just for the camera. I knew I needed that camera but, I did not know how I was getting the money.
I am glad I did not have the money at hand. Otherwise I would not have known about the Nikon D5200. It is not by any means been an easy journey. I am broke. I have no stable job. I make a few shillings here and there doing odd jobs. It could be worse I am glad it is not. It is a price I am paying for my dreams. There is so much I want to do with the camera personally and professionally (for Inteco).
Until next time
