I went swimming for the first time in I think 5 years. It is one of my goals to be a more active and be serious about my fitness. You might be like Munira you are so skinny!! Well, I am a slender unfit person. Sprinting for 10 seconds usually leaves me out of breath. That.scares me.
I have no swimming regime yet in place. I do want to work out my endurance and then build up on my speed. My technique is really wanting. When I was doing my laps I realized I was losing my breath a lot. I definitely need to work on that. I also lose power in the middle of the lap. In summary, I am incredibly rusty at swimming.
I aim to work up to doing 50 continuous laps within an hour. I am currently at 4 with breaks in between. The biggest mistake I made was go to swim when the pool was full. Therefore, I was a bit self-conscious and did not really train as well or as intense as I would have liked.
I am planning to work on my pre and post workout meals as well. With the little exercise I did I managed to eat a mountain of food after. It is important to me to really fuel my body right so that I am at my most effective during training. I really wish I had a trainer. I find it gives me more focus if I have someone telling me what to do. It forces me into it must be done mind set which I am REALLY struggling on my own to achieve.
I want to take up swimming once a week. If time allows me I will increase my frequency.
Until next time.
